Weight Gain During Pregnancy

Here is an approximate of how the weight stacks up that you gain during pregnancy:

Weight of baby 38%
Weight of placenta 9%
Weight of amniotic fluid 11%
Increase in weight of uterus and breasts 20%
Increase in weight of blood 22%
Total weight gain 100%


Here is how you gain it:

0-12 weeks 0%
12-20 weeks 25%
20-30 weeks 50%
30-36 weeks 25%
36-40 weeks 0%


Using this chart as a guide, you can assume that if you are 30 weeks pregnant, the weight you have gained since the beginning of your pregnancy will be about 75% of your total weight gain. Don't hate us for providing you with this useless and possibly inflammatory information. You of course are the exception to this chart!!!
