- Alka Mints
Both my husband and I have used numerous antacids, but nothing compares to Alka-Mints. We used to be able to buy them in our rural town but now have to mail order them. The Alka-Mints works so much better than anything else--and they don't have a bad taste at all.

I've been using Alka-Mints for many years and consider them by FAR the best antacid on the planet -- super-effective -- fast-acting -- non-chalky -- and a really nice spearmint flavor... - Minty, not chalky
I've used Alka-Mints for heartburn a few times, with fast relief and pleasant memories of the taste. In fact, I just chewed one of these in preparation for writing my review. I've got a minty taste in my mouth and have the added satisfaction of knowing that I just increased my calcium consumption for the day.

Alka-Mints are a triple hit:
- breath mint
- nutrient supplement (cheaper than many standard calcium pills)
- and antacid, too

What's not to like?

At first, I was apprehensive about delving into this, but as dinner's Fiesta Platter decided to rear its ugly head, I trudged onward. The taste of most antacids could be described as chalky and, in a word, PLEH. Not so with Alka-mints. I found them to be quite pleasing and I would definitely recommend these to anyone with a taste for not feeling like you've been punched in the gut by Mike Tyson on a bender.
